Chief Investment Officer & Chief Compliance Officer

Chris Hufana is Money Positive’s Chief Investment Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. With more than a decade of experience in portfolio management, active investing, and estate planning, he is passionate about helping BIPOC communities, caregivers, and first-generation families build long-term financial security. Chris believes everyone deserves access to investing knowledge and strives to make financial planning approachable, transparent, and rooted in shared experience.

Helping under-recognized communities build lasting wealth through investing, education, and authentic guidance.

As Chief Investment Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Money Positive, Chris Hufana is committed to making investing and financial planning more accessible for people who have historically been overlooked by the financial industry.

As the child of an immigrant household and a first-generation college graduate, Chris understands firsthand the challenges many families face when building wealth. That perspective shapes the way he works with clients, particularly BIPOC communities, caregivers, and multigenerational households. He believes people deserve transparent advice, genuine human connection, and financial professionals who understand their lived experiences.

Chris has more than 13 years of experience in the financial industry, with expertise in portfolio management, active investing, trading strategies, and estate planning. He holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses along with Life and Health Insurance licenses, and enjoys helping clients better understand investing, market volatility, and long-term wealth building.

Outside the office, Chris is a coffee roaster and spends time with his tuxedo cat, Toby. He also supports transitioning veterans through community initiatives. Whether he’s discussing market volatility or building a long-term investment strategy, Chris enjoys showing clients that investing isn’t reserved for the wealthy; it’s a tool anyone can learn to use to build a strong financial future.
